I saved a lot of time buying this here rather than buying a roll at local art stores or even individual sheets. I will say that this material is a bit stickier than the listed sheets and makes working with charcoal problematic. I'm not sure if my method applies to every situation, but when I used this to dress up a large drawing board, I cut out the shapes I needed. , increase the value, spray on some fixative and reattach the frisket shapes where they came from (often using removable tape to secure). *Very important* - before you reattach the frieze pieces, wrap the sticky side around your shirt or something made out of natural fibers to make it even less sticky. What struck me about this reel compared to the expensive reeds is the overall stickiness if you will. Significantly more glue residue removal from the Grafix roller (regardless of fixing spray - I've tried both methods). I know others have used tracing paper + removable tape to hide finished areas, but for me this resulted in sloppy work. Due to the number of drawings I had to do, the downsides of the scroll were overshadowed by my savings - and that money went to other items. it seemed less expensive. If you are not sure, buy a sheet of the same brand, you can take a roll to see if it works for you (I didn't have that opportunity). The downsides were overshadowed by my savings, and that money went to other things that seemed less expendable. If you are unsure, buy a reed of the same brand, you can get a roll to see if it works for you (I didn't have that opportunity).
