Review on ๐Ÿ”ฅ Treedix 5-12V ZVS Low Voltage Induction Heating Power Supply Module: Efficient Coil Heating Solution by Chris Pettway

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Sensitive power mosfets, burn out too easily.

This is a decent circuit for experimenting/demonstrating induction heating, but the circuit is very fragile and tends to burn out the power MOSFETs if too much bulk is heated or if the metal is not quite centered. Wash. This is the second I've burned out on after using the first for less than 24 hours. At the moment it burns out, you will see a small cloud of white smoke near the toroidal inductor, the power LED is still lit, but no longer heats up. Because of its sensitivity, you can't really use this circuit except to heat paperclips.

Pros
  • ZVS heat source module including heating coil. The heating coil can be soldered onto the circuit board.
Cons
  • Clarity
