I think I've finally solved the cat door dilemma for my big Cat Chevy. I bought a cat door that had to be big enough for him. too small! I have one for big cats and it should meet my needs. But he won't take advantage of that if he can ask or intimidate me into opening the door for him. He hardly misses it. Well, this one has sizes he'll love! 8 3/4" wide x 11 1/2" high. Pets need to get into the real hole. The Chevy is 13 inches tall and 7 1/2 inches wide and would love a larger opening. Now it doesn't have the 4 way open/close that cat doors have, but I couldn't find any dog doors that do. Why ? I do not know! But it has a sliding pad that closes the hole. For assembly it has a template to help you make a what size hole and fits in a 1 1/4" door maybe 1 1/2" if you push the limits. Not suitable for lattice doors or wood paneling unless you reinforce the edge with additional wood. I also made an accompanying video for you.
