Review on πŸͺŸ CRL Window Zipper Deglazing Tool: Effortlessly Remove Glazing with Precision by Robert Layne

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good product and almost great

After reading some reviews about this tool I hesitated to buy it but I'm glad I did. My parents' ranch-style house, built in 1979, had Anderson windows installed, which seemed to be the best at the time. After 20 years, my parents installed air conditioning in their house and those windows stopped opening and closing. 19 years and maybe 5 coats of paint later, my parents' central air conditioning failed in mid-July and my parents decided to open the windows again. Without this tool I would never have been able to cut and see through the color that has built up over the years. This tool is thin enough but strong enough to get between the window frame and trim so I can cut the paint where I could open the window. a little weak. After opening 12 windows with this tool, I saw stress cracks on one of the rivets and I'm sure it would have snapped if I had to make many more windows. This tool will most likely be able to build a few houses, but for a professional DIYer I don't see this tool last forever. This tool was worth the money I spent on it!
