Works great! We had a newer TV that had lost speaker function (bad buzzing and loud hissing) as it had just expired and we thought we'd have to buy another TV. Not so. We bought cheap little bookshelf speakers from Pyle and this amazing amp. We bought the speakers along with this tiny amplifier, which also saved us from having to buy an expensive receiver which might have HDMI connections so we can use any TV's audio feed to the speakers. Also, most newer TVs don't have component inputs and outputs, so any receiver you might have must have an HDMI or digital connection, and our TV doesn't, so we thought we were stuck. But this amp has a 3.5mm input jack that we can use from the TV's headphone jack to the amp and to the speakers and Whaala! We have great sound and no more loud buzzing from bad TV speakers etc. We kept the packaging and the sound is even better than ever. Total control over the sound and we placed two speakers far from the TV, which gives us better sound quality without having to turn on the TV from across the room to hear quiet conversations on the TV.
