Dynamic's Mini Pro Blender is quite powerful and can handle thick yoghurt sauce and even chocolate chips, but Dynamic doesn't seem to have put much thought into its blade locking system. Removing the blade is difficult. This requires removing a locking screw, which is often glued, and then giving the blade a sharp tug. To make matters worse, the set screw was obviously dangerously loose when shipped. My wife found it when she bit into a biscuit. The screw fell out and almost broke her tooth. Perhaps I should have checked and made sure the screw was tight, but I believe the product should be delivered in a safe condition. However, all you have to do is tighten the screw when the new block arrives and you are good to go. I have noticed that the motor heats up in just a minute or two after blending, but it has never stopped or slowed down and as a commercial blender I doubt it will do so for many years. I like that the speed of the blender is infinitely variable, unlike a blender. more expensive but less useful Bamix blocks that make small jobs much more difficult. I like the fact that the cutter block is easy to remove. The shaft seems to be resistant to blade movement, so probably cheap brushes are used instead of ball bearings or something, but the cost of this device is such that I think it's forgivable. Unfortunately, this resistance means more heat is generated and less motor torque reaches the blade.
