I know this device got a lot of bad reviews but I think the reason is that most buyers don't know what it is used for or how to use it. . I'm a radio amateur and I managed to attach a 6.75" bundle of wires to a small hole marked ANT for the antenna. I was able to receive data from these modules over 200 feet away. I am using it as a model for a rocket beacon. Using my RF analyzer, software defined radio, and frequency counter, I found that my devices were indeed transmitting on 434.050 MHz or 434.0100. So your devices may have worked, but we're not on the frequency you're expecting (433.92MHz). If you don't have a frequency counter, you can use a radio scanner to tune up and down the 433MHz band to detect a transmission from your module. Also, the DATA pin on the motherboard is written backwards (ATAD). Also, I was able to transfer my call sign into morse code and/or data every few seconds with an Arduino Nano, using it as a model rocket beacon. They also broadcast in AM mode. I was very happy with my purchase!
