I got this several months ago as a gift for my husband. Wanted to keep his interest in cooking! He had complained about all of our small cutting boards. He absolutely loved this one and still does. It is beautiful wood, thick enough to feel really substantial, and looks great on our small island. We got the special oil to care for it, and we oil it often to maintain its beauty in our dry climate and with the frequency of use. It is reversible. I consider it a great buy since I shopped around for the right wood, thickness and size. Bamboo has not worked for us.
