My 2014 Ford Fusion has a broken key. After two different dealers offered $250 for a replacement, I decided to go this route. When I got the new shell, I removed the transponder board from my old device and installed it in the new shell. He then removed the toggle switch from the new device, slowly pulled the push pin out of the device, and unplugged it. I installed my old key in the new block and reinstalled the toggle switch in the housing. Taken outside and tested with no problems. The car started and all buttons work perfectly. Some assembly was a little tight, but everything fit together. I take these savings everyday!
