If you have really big apples, this cut will do. perfect for lazy people who don't want to use a knife! just kidding, maybe it's safer because you don't have to use a knife. The slices are slightly larger than what I cut by hand. Of course, like a knife, it needs to be washed, but it is easy to wash. The core doesn't take up too much of the good part of the apple. For the last piece, you may have to use your finger or a tool to complete the cut, but that's okay.
