Getting stuck cutting apples

I made the mistake of not reading the reviews on this. It gets stuck about halfway up the apple, which is a pain. I usually have to bang the apple on the table to finish it. This is an inexpensive product and it shows. At the end of the day, however, it gets the job done—it just takes a little more arm strength.

EFFICIENT + save the planet by replacing pre-packaged plastic bags with apple slices

This is a great gadget! I don't normally buy kitchenware, but after my husband commented on how bad those pre-packaged bags of apple slices are on our wallets and the planet, I bought this item. Now I buy a bag of apples every week and make my own fresh apple slices. So easy! And ideal for those who occasionally play around with knives. Highly recommended.

Apple doesn't cut all the way through

Too big and doesn't cut all the way through. I won't buy this again. Hellby wants it back. I'm good at working with a knife. More time but better than using that cutter and knife to finish the job. It quickly slices the apples to the perfect size, but doesn't cut them all the way through, resulting in me having to use a knife to cut out the apples. Perfect for removing the center without having to pick seeds or cut packets.

large, works great: Corers & Pitters

If you have really big apples, this cut will do. perfect for lazy people who don't want to use a knife! just kidding, maybe it's safer because you don't have to use a knife. The slices are slightly larger than what I cut by hand. Of course, like a knife, it needs to be washed, but it is easy to wash. The core doesn't take up too much of the good part of the apple. For the last piece, you may have to use your finger or a tool to complete the cut, but that's okay.

The pieces are a little big for my taste.

I only have one complaint about the apple corer/slicer. Pushing it through the apple until it's resting on the cutting board won't cut it all the way through. Not every apple has a tiny amount of skin. This can make it difficult to separate the core from the slices as they are held together by a small amount of skin. I don't want to cut myself so I take a spoon and knead the area to cut it. It's not ideal. The discs are a bit larger than I would like as I dehydrate them, but I can accept that…
