This is not very useful other than you can just steam the carpet. It is not cleaned by steam in any way, as there is no way to vacuum water and dirt. It's okay to steam your carpet to try to kill fleas or flea eggs, or to disinfect it. The steamer doesn't snap into place, it just sits on top of that carpet slide, so if you lift it at all they'll fall apart. I used self-adhesive velcro to make straps to attach it to my car to hold it up. Not something I will use that often. I like the Light n Easy steam mop, but gliding on carpets doesn't make it a carpet steam cleaner.
