This spanner deserves more than 5 stars! This is the best bleach I've ever used. I've used lighter and stronger brighteners, but that throws them off track. With proper installation according to the instructions provided, you will have many years of trouble-free use. Check the tightness of the screws before every journey (as with every preliminary check when towing). This stretcher is great. I don't understand the negative reviews for this product. The plate cannot be bent by tightening the U-bolt. The sheet steel is 0.3 inch thick. The U-bolt is 2.5 inches wide. It would take several thousand pounds of force to bend the plate. If the instructions are followed correctly, a torque of 40 ft-lbs is recommended for the nuts. 7/16" U-bolts will NOT rust. Several hundred ft-lbs of torque are required to break/twist. As with any stainless steel bolt or nut, you should lightly lubricate these before installation to avoid binding or seizing. If using a balancer coupling, install the plate on top of the linkage as this is where the balancer coupling applies force to the receiver.
