This type of product is great for eliminating "backlash" in your clutch system. I pull many things including towing cars behind our RV. My bike rack, an Allen Sports Deluxe 2 (1-2" receiver) bike rack, is designed to mount a Class II (1 1/4") bike rack that I have in my car, or a Class III (2") hitch receiver that I have in my RV. This is a VERY strong clutch stabilizer. The black plate is 1/4" steel and the U-bolt is properly formed and sturdy. Apply a drop or two of 3-in-1 oil to each thread before screwing in as instructed (any light oil will do). . I use this with an aluminum hitch and it works great!
