This type of product is great for eliminating "backlash" in your clutch system. I pull many things including towing cars behind our RV. If you want to feel if there is a problem, you should not have any slops in the system. This device takes care of that. I've had several of these and they all work equally well. The problem with this is that once you've driven it a few thousand miles, you can't take it off. The thread engages the nut and we end up twisting the thread and nut, destroying the U-bolt. Not a problem as you can always run to the tractor shop and buy another U-bolt (I have lots of these now) but it's not a nuisance. I don't know if it's electroplated due to different metals or maybe the thread pack needs to be stronger. At least if you leave it on forever. Buy it.
