Review on 🌼 Vibrant Japanese Tant Origami Paper: 12 Shades of Yellow - 6 Inch Square by Amanda Castillo

Great but thick - please note this is not your ordinary thin paper

I am a professional origami binder and seller and have been in the business for many years. I supply faucets for weddings, flowers for first anniversaries, whatever. So I've folded probably 10,000 or more items over the years and used probably every type of paper in the world. I really like this origami paper from Tant and at the same time it is important to understand what it is. First, know she's FAT. This isn't the flimsy origami paper you get at school. It won't be able to fold into a shape that requires 800 extra folds like an Atlantic purple sea urchin. When my son was little he tortured me and asked me to fold one of them for him :). That would be impossible with this paper. It's like construction paper. Yes, for some shapes it's ideal, but for others it just doesn't fit. So keep that in mind. Well, as they say, the colors are GORGEOUS. And where most origami papers have fairly basic colors like "GREEN" or "RED", here you get their amazing richness. If you have someone at a wedding and they need the right shade of orange, this is the one for you. Yes, then you're limited by the shapes you can stack with it, but the color is on point. The texture is wonderful too. The downside for me is that I often only look for one of these colors and then have to buy multiple packs to get enough for a project. So in a way, it's a shame that you get a range of shades here. I don't usually need range. I only need one of them. But that's life sometimes. I find other uses for others. I like the green and orange sets (they call it yellow but to me it's the orange set) so those are the two I'm familiar with. Let me know if you have any questions!
