I carefully cut the shipping box tape exposing only 1/8 inch of the cutting tip of my box cutter, but cut the back of the shipping box inwards. the box is in direct contact with the case, there should be some sort of padding or cardboard inside the box to protect the case, not just a thin plastic bag. A bad start as I expect the sheared portion of the case to stretch or tear over time, otherwise the case looks decent at first.
