Review on Wireless Flash Speedlite with Radio Slave for Canon - YONGNUO YN685 - GN60 2.4G System with ETTL and HSS Capabilities by Kichiro ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent quality, absolutely not expected for such a price.

In general, a very good, reliable flash. It is especially useful when used in conjunction with YN-622c transmitters. I use it mainly remotely. I can safely recommend to buy. Pros below: 1. Good workmanship. 2. Convenient operation copied from the Canon 600EX-RT flash. 3. Wide functionality: TTL, high-speed synchronization, first curtain, second curtain. 4. Radio control. 5. Low price. Got cons: 1. Unlike Canon flashes, there is no head position lock button. You just need to twist it like a ratchet, with great effort. This can loosen the hot shoe on the camera. Therefore, you need to hold the flash with one hand, and turn the head with the other. 2. No USB port for flash firmware. It can only be flashed using the YN-622c-TX transmitter. But, if the flash has firmware version 1.0, then it cannot be reflashed at all. What does it threaten? If the firmware version is old, the autofocus backlight will not work on new cameras. This is not critical, but in very dark rooms it will be impossible to focus. 3. The capacitance of the capacitor in it is smaller than in the Canon 600EX. Therefore, during continuous shooting, you can make a maximum of two puffs, and not three, as on Canon. 4. There is no dust-moisture protection.
