When I put in the dark magenta and black cartridges, I was surprised that the printer recognized them straight away. I thought everything was fine. The next morning I went to print something and noticed that the printer says the black is blank. Then I saw a puddle of ink under the printer. There were no instructions for the ink but I read the reviews BEFORE downloading and realized that you should not remove the foil from the ink ports. To be clear, I did NOT direct this film. The black ink bleed didn't affect the paper so I put in another black cartridge which turned out to be good. I don't use this printer often. A few days later I printed the document with dark magenta ink. The page came out with large blobs of red ink. I took out the paper tray and there was red ink everywhere! I was trying to salvage my beloved HPPhotosmart8250 printer which is many years old but it has always printed fine. Ink has gotten so expensive that I decided to save some money. Now I'm buying a new printer.
