Now that I'm a bit older I use more expensive responsive/non-responsive yo-yos. This was an unexpected surprise. Actually I thought it was a rigid steel axle, but it's not. I was saddened to see the tiny plastic bearing around the tiny axle, so I regret not being sure of its durability. just the body. Action like a cheap yo-yo. You can do a swell for about 20 seconds, maybe a trick or two, but it needs axle lube and a new string right away. All in all the lights are amazing! If you are looking to buy this for a child's education I would buy Duncan's Imperial Butterfly or Repeat (Responsive). If you want to go back to the time when you dreamed of having a cool light-up yo-yo for a cheap price and performed a few mind-bending short tricks. Don't expect much performance here either.
