Review on 🌊 BLACK & DECKER BPWM09W Compact Portable Washer by Fuzzhead Nelson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Powerful washing machine - a silent dirty laundry killer

Except for the styrofoam package that ended up in the engine compartment of the car) I can't say anything bad about it. After unpacking, I decided to make sure nothing was dangling around in the car - and I'm glad I did. A ton of white styrofoam pieces inside. I had to remove large pieces manually and then just blow away smaller particles. Bottom cover reinstalled and connected directly to cold water line. I'm glad I bought the 90Β° elbow - I was expecting some strain on the hose that runs under the sink to the top water inlet of the Black and Decker washer. Zero leaks with the knee, minor leaks without. I will tell you that the car is very quiet - I was shocked. And there is practically no vibration. Detergent is placed directly in the washing machine compartment. The clothes smelled fresh, with no odd mechanical odor, and wrung out of most of the water (yes, I'm impressed with the spin cycle too). Completely satisfied with the purchase. PS After my parents come to visit, they wait for their old Haier portable washing machine to die to buy this beast. Actually, I'm planning to buy a second one for my house. Update: 7/11/18: After about 2 weeks of washing 2-3 times a day, it still doesn't leak and we still like it. I ordered a longer wash hose (8ft) to keep the washing machine connected to the cold water outlet at all times and was also given a drain pan in case it leaked, but mainly so it could be pushed onto laminate on our kitchen floor. We have a place under the tabletop and we just slide the machine in and out. When we're not using it, it fits perfectly under a niche on the countertop. I noticed a small puddle in the pan near the front left leg of the washing machine. I emptied it, removed the back panel and noticed water droplets on the outside of the white center drum, pump motor, drain hose, etc. I dried everything and ran another wash at a gentle medium load. And looked. The leak came from the top of the washing machine as it began to fill a second time. Exactly where the transparent hose disappears at the top of the washing machine - watch the video. Without deducting a single star, I'd like to see how Revain or Black and Deck handle the warranty. We'll keep you up to date. Replacement is on the way. First class customer service! Update from 07/17/18: I am happy - replacement has arrived. I unpacked the new machine, installed it and put the old one in the same box for return. Man, I'm not gonna lie, but I'm a little disappointed. I did a test wash with Rapid - no problems. I was driving properly and there was a small puddle on the front left leg of the washing machine and behind the car under the black drain plug. It's already late. I'll wash it again tomorrow and see where it drips. I'm deducting 1 star for now. The leak comes from above, in the same place as the previous BnD washer. Is this a factory defect or am I the only one having this? Please share your experiences. I'll do another swap later and if the same happens I have an idea how to make a mod to redirect the leak straight to the washing machine drum. Annoying, yes, but I like the car for its efficiency. As usual, I'll keep you posted. Update 07/31/18: Got second replacement car. I did a test wash with a quick wash but I forgot to switch to a smaller load, I started with load 3 by default. The water started pouring in and just splashed everywhere, even hitting the bottom of the opening lid. So you can't be sure if it's leaked or not. You have to wait for it to dry. Update 08/06/2018: As much as I would like to give a 5 star rating, I still have to deduct 1 star. The second replacement is also leaking. I suspect the first machine I've had in over a month was leaking too, it's just that I didn't have a pan under the washing machine and couldn't see the leak. I won't be returning the item because a) I still love it because it's still an amazing machine - quiet, light weight, washes your stuff etc etc but. just that pesky leak coming from above. b) I use a pistol grip clip and a small food tray to catch water drips, but under no circumstances should the new item be altered in any way from the start. Update 08/28/2018: The machine has STOP LEAKING. I don't know what's wrong here but I'm not complaining and I'll add 1 more star. What a roller coaster. Update 9/18/18: Still no leaks and yesterday I uploaded a heavy (sweat resistant) A3 size Jiu-Jitsu Gi, both pants and jacket. And it fits!
