Review on Beck Arnley 131 2111 Water Pump by Richard Mangum

Revainrating 5 out of 5

High quality pump made in JAPAN

Replaced by 1995 Geo Tracker. The gasket is some kind of fibrous material, as shown in the picture. DO NOT use sealant on it. Just coat it with coolant and make sure both mating surfaces are CLEAN and SMOOTH! The pump turbine inside is very well made. It uses a continuous curved, durable blade design with a nice sharp edge at the end of the blade. A lot of the cheaper pumps I've looked at just use flat pump blades that don't appear to move water as efficiently. In addition, the entire turbine head is a single piece of machined steel. I highly recommend changing the water pump when you change the timing belt. Save yourself the hassle as replacing a pump requires the same basic steps (plus a few more) as replacing a timing belt. Timing belt and water pump every 100,000 miles (or less).
