Very cheaply made: CD racks

I bought this with the intention of using hanging CD cases (similar to suspension files). Please note this is made out of thin cardstock (almost looks like cardstock with very thin paper/paint on it). The lid is well made and I love the metal corners on it. The box itself is a beautiful plum color and the appearance of the box is cute. That's the only good news I can report. It felt like the box was falling apart in my hands. The clasps don't stay closed no matter how hard you press them (there was some superglue but paying anything over $1 I don't feel like I have to worry about the clasps coming loose.) Essentially you order a few sheets of cardboard "glued” together with some colored paper. If you decide to try it, even after reading the gs warning, then be aware that hanging CD cases will not fit unless they are angled, which essentially requires two to three inches of cardboard length, but You won't be able to store that much. I wish I had just saved my money/time and gone with the Vaultz boxes as I originally intended. Saw it, found it a lot compared to him and tried it. Don't repeat my mistake.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Security
