Review on SONGMICS Repair Stand Solid Welded by Ronald Orear

Economical alternative to cycling

Not an avid biker but always wanted a stand to make cleaning and maintenance of the bike easier. This stand certainly fulfills these tasks. When fully extended, the four legs ensure a high degree of stability. However, the legs are plastic and can break, but I don't see that as too much of a problem. When stored with legs tucked in, the stand falls off easily with a slight bump. The arm is not compact, causing it to tip over. I recommend getting your feet a little out of the way. I'm giving the durability a 3.5 because it's probably better than other competitors in the price range, but nothing special. My tool tray has a broken corner from falling into the storage position as the tray is plastic and the stability issue mentioned above. I chose this model because of the bike rack and its rotating mechanism and not another slightly cheaper version. Definitely happy with this choice. Very easy to adjust the position of the bike. I was concerned about the plastic twist lock component, but I don't foresee any problems after my use. I recommend this if you are looking for an inexpensive bike maintenance stand to make repairs, cleaning and maintenance easier.
