So I bought this tool specifically to repair the sunroof brace bracket on my Mitsu Eclipse. A seemingly common problem is the "disappearing" or stripping of threads on the mount when replacing the lift strut. I figured I would have to take the car to a dealership (what a pain). But I did find an online forum that discussed the possibility of using a nut rivet to "create" a new place to screw in a strut nut. The Aoben tool comes with an easy-to-understand guide. Try the tool with a loose rivet nut to see how it works. Then try it on a piece of sheet metal or something else to practice. As you can see from the photo I was able to fix the strut mount and now the sunroof stays up and the new strut is successfully in place. I know there will be many more uses for this tool in the future.
