Other customers who have left reviews here should listen to their ears. Every song has a loud hiss. In more modern music this is less obvious due to the higher quality of production. But with everything released before 1990, the noise is very noticeable and always present (jazz, musical theater, old pop records, etc.). The volume is decent. I will send it back and ask for a refund. By the way, the "light show" is rather boring and nothing special. It's currently on sale for $19, which I think is a decent price for it. But since it was reduced from $27 I figured I'd get something of a higher quality that's on sale.
