After years of using different brands to hang TVs under 50 inches, it's time to hang the 82 inch Samsung TV. I didn't need a lot of fancy features, but I liked the two features this mount offers - easy tilting and the ability to level the TV once it's hung on the mount. That annoying drywall. and forcing the drill to dip in the spot you marked is elusive. I knew it, not my first rodeo. So I figured what if I could get a misplaced hole in the drywall all the way to the stud. I want to be able to align this thing (as a backup) to the dream of a well mounted TV. And so it happened. After leveling the template and checking it three times, I drilled the holes and sure enough the end result was an uneven mount. Which would drive me nuts if there wasn't a way to move the TV an inch using the adjustment screws on the brackets. end result . Perfection. The mounting plate is 27" long, which allowed me to mount the plate on two studs (16" apart) with two drywall grub screws on the end. Our wall has a pin dead point in the wall which I thought would cause problems with the bracket centering. What was that. But the brackets extend beyond the 27" mount, which allowed me to use an off-center mount (because of the 16" cleats) and position the TV in the center of the wall. 4 logs, 2 worm anchors. as strong as possible. I wanted a little tilt to eliminate light reflection from the island behind the sofa and this bracket allows for that tilt. As a bonus, this special mount also allows you to move the TV away from the wall, attach or swap cables to the back of the TV. I didn't think I would need this feature, but I like it. The guide is well done and has humor. everything is really well thought out. I will buy another one of these when I upgrade/move up this TV in 2 years time.
