I'm sure if I took them apart and really applied some TLC I'd make them buttery smooth . But to be honest, they're just beautiful right out of the box. They are not revolutionary, but "reasonable” in everything. These are examples of things that aren't perfect but are good enough and satisfying: balance, play, ratchet clicks, weight, shape, overall size. While I didn't find anything that made me think they were legendary, I didn't find anything disappointing either. These are good tools and hopefully they will prove to be as durable as they should be although time will tell.
