Review on BALEAF Women's Cycling Shorts with 4D Padding, Pockets & Wide Waistband for Spinning, Road Biking, UPF50+ by Nate Nelson

Good for Money Good for Women

I bought these together with the Nicewin Women's 4D Gel Pading Cycling Spinning Biker Shorts with Pockets Wide Waistband so I'll compare them to each other. Firstly, although I've been riding for 2 years and I ride 30 miles a day, this is my first pair of cycling shorts so I can't compare them to others. I used to wear yoga shorts, which are a bit roomy and therefore very comfortable. However they are not padded and I got a new seat and decided not to use the neoprene/gel cover I was using so I needed padded cycling shorts. It's comfortable enough. They say they are high waisted but actually the waist is at my navel level so I wouldn't call them high waisted. They are the same length as the Nicewin cycling shorts I bought at the same time, but when I wear them the BALEAF feels a little longer on the leg. The pad on them is about 1/2 inch wider on each side than the Nicewin, which bothered me at first because it was rubbing an uncomfortable spot, but then my skin got rougher and I like the wider pad. The elastic at the bottom does not dig into the leg and does not roll. Washes well. I wash in cold water with powder and let it air dry. I love the pockets which come in handy for my travel card (on very windy days I sometimes walk far upwind and get on the train to come back) but I just keep my ticket in my pocket when I'm on the train , so I can tap into it when I get out. The passport is in my pocket because the pockets seem a bit small and I worry that a long-distance trip will end up with my passport out of my pocket. Overall they are good for the money and I prefer this pair a bit over the Nicewin pair. I certainly wouldn't spend the $120 a pair of Pearl Izumi would cost if I could get them for 1/4 the cost. s should feel like pajamas!
