We got really tired of cleaning burnt food around the burners on our old white enamel/porcelain 4 burner gas range. After seeing the good reviews we thought it was worth trying this inexpensive product. It's perfect for two large burners, that's the only one we use it on. The two smaller burners don't get as hot and are much easier to clean so they really aren't needed. The material is like a very strong aluminum foil, well shaped to cover the burners. This is not a washable product and is not intended to be. If it gets too dirty, throw it out and replace it with a new one. I estimate they will last about a month. The big compromise is aesthetics versus performance. They are functional and look exactly the same. Some might not like it, but it saves a lot of cleaning time. We have a working kitchen, no showcase, that suits us. Installing on a new oven can extend the life of the surface and protect it from scratches from trying to clean burnt-in.
