Lasts a month or two, then FAIL: The Tale of Three Sharks

In 1.5 years I have bought THREE of these devices. When they work perfectly, they're great! They're not built to last, however, and here's my story of 3 sweepers. First sweeper: the best. Lasts the longest, maybe 8 months of daily use. Then one day the pen came loose from its "folding" socket at the base. We kept snapping it back, but something broke, and voila, a broken car. We replaced it with Sweeper twoSweeper two and it took two months. The same thing. The handle has come off the base. Super fast this time. Sweeper number three: This unit was purchased for my home when I was still in love with sweeper number one. This particular one cannot hold a charge and has NO ELECTRICITY. After charging WEEK. it dies as soon as you roll on the carpet. A piece of total nonsense. Cannot collect bird seed. When the second sweeper broke down, I bought a Bissell sweeper for my office with a 2 year protection policy. Bissell isn't as strong as a *working* shark, nor does it have that cool squat feature that lets you shark-shark under furniture, but it's been up and running for about 5 months now, no problem.
