I'm a vmix operator and I often need to send remote kits to speakers. I'm not sure how far we've come during the pandemic, but I think this is the best facility for that purpose. The price is right, especially if you can buy it on sale. The stand is actually very good and just the right size for shipping. Most cheap coasters that come with these kits can fall apart and are very fragile. The latches are made of high quality plastic and the rods are grooved to prevent twisting. The result is a small but rigid stand. Note that there is a ¼ 20 mount at the top, not a regular lighting stand. Better for my use case, but good to know. The addition of phone holders and a minimal tripod adds to the cost of this kit, and I think most people will have everything they need right away. The Bluetooth remote quickly connected to my XR phone and just worked. Last week we shipped a kit that did not include a power supply. It was a failure. In contrast, this flashlight uses standard USB-A for power and the cable is always plugged in. In addition, simple and intuitive lighting controls are also located on the USB cable. This display toggles between three color temperatures and the user can increase and decrease the brightness. The light quality is very good. In our case, the light weight of the ring light is a plus as it is stable on the stand and easy to set up. In summary this lighting kit is good value for all the parts included and the quality is much better than expected.
