This gate was easy to install. The instructions were perfect and even included a template for placement and pilot holes. Although one arm is said to be open, this is debatable. I use two so I don't stress the side panel of the hinge. The breech is easy to open with one hand, but I usually support the breech by lifting it slightly on the breech support. Generally excellent shutters. I use it in the hallway to keep big dogs out of bedrooms and the office while allowing small dogs and cats to slip underneath. I've added a wall fastener (not included) if I need it to stay open. I am very happy with this purchase!
