So far so good with repellents

As mentioned, the instructions are in English. The stickers sprayed onto the yellow plastic next to the mode switch are barely visible. There are three positions: first position (fully forward) - flashlight only, second position - sound plus flashing light, third position - sound only. Not sure if there is any difference between audio frequency and volume level in second and third position as people are not heard. The button on the opposite side of the device turns the sound on (assuming the switch is in position two or three). So far this device works for us: it really gets the dog's attention when they're doing something wrong. In my case, this is when my dog starts to growl or otherwise behave aggressively during a walk when we get close to other dogs. A quick press of a button (in a coat pocket) and the dog immediately stops growling and looks at me. Just a few times before the dog starts associating anger with his behavior and seems less likely to run. However, I've noticed that the device doesn't always draw the other dog's attention. I think it's possible that dogs, like humans, lose their hearing for high frequencies as they age: so it's possible that some dogs can no longer hear sounds depending on their age or simply because of the quality of their hearing. This *could* also explain some of the negative reviews. I can't say anything about the durability of the device since we've only had it for a week.
