Review on AUDINST HUD Mx2 Audiophile Audio Headphone by Jerardo Phi

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Decent DAC, suitable for receivers and amplifiers

Not too expensive. I didn't like op amps so I switched to OPA627. The sound has improved a lot. I hooked it up to the Sony TV's optical out to an Onkyo receiver that has 2 Wharfdale speakers connected to it when I really want good sound. The DAC is better than the Onkyo and cheap to buy but you'll have to replace the op amp and use the OPA626 which is still one of the best unless you upgrade to the Burson line. For the good ones that are better than the OPA627, like the Burson V5 Dual SS discrete op amp, they're too big for the small package. but great for my $1000 DAC for my main system

Pros
  • HUD-mx2, suitable for optical inputs (24bit/192㎑)
Cons
  • Difficult to say
