Review on Astro 78618 Brake Caliper Tool by Jeremy Gaines

This tool is for rear disc brakes where the parking brake mechanism is located in the caliper. You can't just push the plunger back in, it also has to be rotated. I've found this to work very well. It has more piston adapters as well as a narrower compression nut for newer smaller calipers than my previous tool from over 20 years ago, as well as a left hand thread for the left rear caliper on a number of mid 2000's Fords. models. The sliding T-handle does not require an additional wrench to turn the screw. While it's short and doesn't seem to offer much leverage, any caliper that's so hard to turn that you need extra leverage will need to be rebuilt or replaced as there's something wrong with it.
