well constructed; maybe offers some exercise, but I don't know

It's a solid built item; it doesn't bend or feel flimsy in any way. I don't know if it does much exercising, but I find it fun to wobble around on while I'm waiting for stuff to load on the computer.I will say to be careful how you are standing on it though. It naturally caused me to rest on my heels the first time I used it causing my toes to point slightly upward for hours. My calve muscles and behind my knees hurt for the rest of the day after I stopped using it. When I find myself doing that now I turn the board 90 degrees and stand on it that way which seems to prevent that from happening.
