What a cool little gadget and very easy to set up. In addition, it included the necessary cables (including an HDMI cable). My testing was done using an old 12-inch MacBook and a new iPad mini 6. Let's look at both. Please note that some of the limitations mentioned are probably host related. Devices (MacBook and iPad). Using the display with my MacBook Setting up the display was very easy. All I had to do was connect the USB cable from the MacBook to the display. The MacBook powered the display, although I could have used the included power adapter. macbook mirrored, but with a little tinkering with the macbook settings I was able to display two different desktops. the original sound came from my macbook, but a few clicks on the macbook sound menu brings the sound out of the macbook display. The audio is adequate in a quiet room, but you'll need headphones or some sort of external speaker to boost the volume. The brightness of the display was sufficient. The picture looked sharp and clear. The video voice was dubbed correctly. At first it seemed to me that I could work with the touch screen, but in later tests I lost this ability. I'm not sure why. But that could probably be me. Using the display with the iPad Mini 6 (that was the coolest) The iPad Mini 6 has a USB-C connector, so I was curious if it would work with this display. It happened! I could mirror the screen, but I didn't have two different screens. It was still great when going from a tiny screen to a big one. The touch control of the display did not work on the Mini. I think these two issues are related to the Mini and iOS, not the display. I turned the Mini's volume to maximum before plugging it in, and this allowed me to increase the volume on the display speakers. This is enough for an average room, but not for a noisy room. Headphones or an external speaker can also help here. Audio was synced when streaming videos. When I connected the included USB power adapter to USB C #1 and my iPad to USB C #2, I was able to charge the Mini through passthrough. Mini, which turned a tiny device into a powerful computer. iOS has all the essential Office tools (Pages, Keynote, and more) as well as creative tools like the Photos app and iMovie. In this mode, I used my iPad as a visual touchpad to navigate the screen. There is also an HDMI port, which allows you to use devices that support this type of connection. All in a fun and useful demo.
