Review on Intel E7500 Processor Socket LGA775 by Boyan Trilovski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good quality product, I rate this purchase excellent.

It amazed me greatly that I was able to complete all the tests at 4.5 GHz (500x9) on an abit IP35Pro without the need for voltmod or shamanism. Asus P5K Deluxe on mother asus with sorrow in half lasted up to 4.3 GHz further did not want to pass the test for archiving 7zip (osst and 3Dmark passed without issues). I loved how the heat dissipation was almost the same and that it consistently accepts 3.6 without increasing the voltage. It started to drive and hang after switching to a less expensive PSU; after switching it back, everything went back to normal. It is odd that increasing overclocking on the same mother of the less expensive E5200 did not result from upgrading the power supply unit's quality. has been operating for over a year with dynamic overclocking enabled from within Windows using uGuru a bit (overclocking is turned on only after starting all types of crashes, 24 365 working at 3.6 GHz), issues have not been found.

Pros
  • among dual-core processors, the best price/performance/overclocking ratio
Cons
  • The quality of the mother board and power supply has an undue influence on overclocking and heat dissipation. In my opinion, supporters of lower price ranges are less particular.
