Works well but big, heavy and has an odd switch

This is a well built and solid dryer. The nozzles supplied are of good quality and remain on the unit when in use. Look for the second hub under the tray in the box (very odd place to put it - I thought it was an accident until I read the product description and realized it was supposed to be in the box). It has good heat at a lower speed setting, which I find lacking in other gun dryers. I need this as my hair is very long and thin like a child's. The higher speed on gun dryers often tangles my hair. I tried a diffuser mount and got even better lower airflow and control. This worked great and I had no confusion. However, this bracket added enough length to make the dryer uncomfortable to use. I've considered trying a picture cap, but that would also add extra length, which I don't want. I was surprised by the "Explosion of Cool" button as it is an on/off switch for the heating element. I accidentally pressed it while drying my hair and thought I had pressed the temperature switch. Flipping this switch didn't bring any heat back, I thought it was broken. That's when I realized I had pressed the "Blast of Cool" button, so I pressed it again and the heat returned. This is a bit of an odd process as every dryer I've owned before this one has required you to hold down this button to get cool air. So with this dryer it's a switch and I've pushed it a couple of times, just holding it to dry my hair. This is annoying and made me change the way I hold the device as it sits just below my index finger and is easy to accidentally press. There is no such problem with the "press and hold" key. I showed it to my wife and asked her to try it (her hair is thicker and curly) but she refused due to the size of the device. To be honest, it seems more geared toward a person drying someone else's hairβ€”most often in a professional setting, or a parent drying a child's hair. And that's exactly what I'm going to use to blow dry one of the baby's hair since her hair is quite thick and difficult to dry. I think this device with attached diffuser would be perfect for drying her hair. Yes, it's a bit heavy, but mostly when used on itself and mostly due to the size/length of the weapon (it's at least 2 inches longer than this one). my wife uses regularly). I don't think drying someone else's hair will be a problem.
