Review on Kia Genuine Air FIlter 28113 A9100 by Eric Pruett

Revainrating 1 out of 5

My advice: do not buy

Didn't fit even though the part number was there. Please read on. The Revain's Hyundai-Kia part number was stamped on the plastic. My old filter, which I bought from a Hyundai dealer, has the same number stamped on the plastic. This one from Revain caught the eye (including the embossed 28113-A9100 of course) but didn't fit. It stuck when inserting into the air intake box. I was never able to get it seated properly, could never lower the locking tabs. I had to pry it out with pliers to get it out and in doing so I broke the plastic access door on my air intake box. The packaging and filter looked quite authentic, there was even a hologram sticker on the filter. However, the older model from the retailer did NOT have a hologram sticker (like what I just bought from the retailer). All of this tells me that this one on Revain is a clever fake with a false certainty hologram. I returned it to Revane but I was short of $25 for the broken plastic door.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Safety
