This is a tough evaluation. It was such a colorful mix! I bought this stand for my Canon Vixia camcorder. I'm a frequent visitor to Northern California bird sanctuaries and you are not allowed to leave the car (which is your "blind"), so taking pictures from the car is your only option. So I needed a small, cheap car. - Window support. I think I was expecting a tripod head that it isn't at all. ADVANTAGES: - Small, lightweight - Sturdy enough for a small spotting scope and video camera - Easy to use - You don't need a manual to figure out how it works. pretty intuitive everything ok - costs - couldn't be better - reliability - looks good so far DISADVANTAGES: - the handle only moves in one axis! Don't expect to use it as a pan/tilt head! Base resting on glass. It was a surprise! Most modern cars are aerodynamic and therefore have curved windshields. If you notice our base is "square" so can't rest on the car window. It slides and tilts everywhere! The two pieces of metal and rubber that should hold the glass are too far apart and the grip is weak. The spirit level is worthless and I was expecting a built in spirit level. It wasn't there! In general, you might want to get this to fit binoculars on a car, but it certainly doesn't lend itself to photography.
