TWO of these remotes have recently failed. One of the two had only been in use for a few months when it started having numerous problems. What did they do… For a long time we thought it was a box because DirecTV launched it right after adding the intro video, but it was the remotes. Both are now in the trash and the new ones work fine. That's all with new batteries…1. After pressing Fast Forward, it was impossible to stop them. They didn't go to play. They don't rewind. They just kept the forward fast going and since you could see what was going on on the show you literally had to turn off the power or drop the box to stop it. 2. After you press pause, playback will start again. Press pause again to resume playback. This often happened FIVE to NINE times before you could get him to pause. And then the same thing when you came back and pressed play. It went into pause mode several times.3. Sometimes pressing a few buttons didn't do anything with NEW batteries. Then it was fine again for a couple of hours and so was the pits sometimes, so we thought it was the pits.4. The remote only worked when held three feet to the right, which never made sense because I was pointing it directly at the box from just 10 feet away.
