Update. I replaced the bent metal diamonds and traveled another 600 miles. No problem this time. I may have not had it torqued tight enough the first time Yikes! So far so good now. Now I just need replacement L brackets for the leveling bars.Well. where to start?Let me just say first that how things have ended up with the system It works and I'm glad I own it.Pros- stops sway in a major way. I just drove almost two thousand miles with this. I tow a Lance bunk house trailer 2185 from the year 2015. It's a decently heavy trailer and it's 26 feet long. There was really little to no sway using this.Cons- Well tips, tricks, and a what you are doing wrong or a how to fix it section is really missing. I know the Curt people have a vast knowledge of setting up these hitches as well as what to do if leveling is off etc. But where can I find that? So. this took me with a friend helping me 4 hours to set up. I have a 2022 Ford F150 with the factory tow package. Getting this system to level my trailer within a couple inches of front of truck rise and back of truck drop was hard. I tried every option and more that the directions had listed. In the end I just had to crank things tight with thr leveling bars. So much so that stuff ended up bent. Yes, you can see in the photos. As well the L brackets on the traiker tongue not only bent bit the steel literally squished and stretched and created valleys and more. Ahhhhh. What am I doing wrong. I followed all the steps and went back through several times making sure each was correct. Also besides leveling it must have not been torqued tight enough? Major steel bending going on. I ordered and paid for a new bolt kit and torqued that bolt down tighter than tight. Drove another 800 Miles and the bending you see in the photos did not happen again. Phew! That was sketchy! So after my trip I messed with the set up again. I still can't get the trailer level with the truck level as well but I'm only a couple inches or so off. Truck still steers fine. I can if the set up is way too tight and being that tight is just too much for the metal. So allowing it down a notch is close and it still rides quite well. This system isn't perfect and really I wonder if a Curt person with major knowledge of the set up would know exactly what I am doing wrong or if it just is what it is. I wish there was more info out there about trouble shooting. But it works and I will keep it, may have to get a few more replacement parts lol.
