I am ordering 1 inch brown felt pads; The felt is hard and strong with good toughness to hold its shape. There is a very sticky self-adhesive sticker that sticks to the bottom of the chair legs. I washed the legs of the chair, gave them a good wipe with a Lysol cloth to wash off any dirt that was on them and let them sit on their side for a few minutes to dry completely. Then I removed the sticker and attached them to the legs of the chair. They hold up very well and although you can remove them, they offer resistance. They stay in place while you slide the chairs in and out, and even when you're sitting in the chair, you can slide it back and forth without lifting the chair. These chair pads have saved my floors from scratches and scuffs. They were very abusive to the kids at the table and I only had to replace 2 stickers in just over 4 months and that was because one of my kids ripped them off, no defect! I will definitely buy them again.
