Review on Rust-Oleum 293515 Rocksolid Polycuramine Garage Floor Coating, 2.5 Car Kit, Tan by Paul Philippe

I watched a lot of you tube vids and read lots of reviews before using the Rocksolid garage floor coating kit on my garage floor. Very helpful! I purchased 2 kits based on sq. footage coverage estimates for my floor. Coverage was way better than I expected and I could have done it with 1 kit. First coat dried with "mixed" color results and I could see the old cement through the new coating in some places. Second coat was almost perfect, but I "rerolled" some spots and when dry, I could see some roller tracks & color was slightly different. Since it was too late for a return of the second kit, I decided to use it. The third coat was perfect but I didn't plan on applying the chips with this coat, so I needed to do a fourth coat. My wife applied the chips to this coat while I rolled. Observations: Plan your time so the product gets applied w/in the time estimates for temp and humidity. You don't want to be rushed! DO THE FLOOR PREP! (fill cracks, sand, wash/clean and get the cement residue up if you needed to etch.) Apply in coolest time of day if you can; pay attention to the directions: don't go over areas already done; once mixed, product can become hard to apply and ongoing chemical reaction seems to effect the color (45 min-1hr). When temp is warm and high humidity (bag actually gets warm to the touch!); for 2 car garage or larger, I recommend having help when applying the first coat so someone (my wife) can do the cut in's with a brush and someone can roll and when doing the last coat where you'll be applying the paint chips (wife again) so you finish before product no longer usable. Product begins curing as soon as you start mixing the 2 parts together in the bag! YES, you really need mineral spirits for clean-up. I bought extra roller covers so I could throw them away after each use, but cleaned my brush after each use. Mineral spirits cleaned a few unplanned drips in places where I didn't want it. Next test will be how the product holds up under use.
