In the weeks leading up to my vacation, I learned that my aging tires (Michelin Energy 205/55R16, on a KIA Ceed) may not be able to withstand the rigors of driving. I went with this model after receiving recommendations to do so from individuals whose careers entail working with rubber. At the time of purchase, I was concerned about the soft sidewall of the tire, but after 6,000 kilometers, I have nothing but pleasant thoughts. When compared to the previous rubber, the level of comfort is significantly improved; minor bumps and patches are no longer felt. We came encountered a few more larger holes, but they did not cause any damage. The handling is good both in rutted terrain and in the wet.
