I used the correct material to seal the rubber passage plug on a Harley that was leaking from the stator through the plug going through the crankcase. I decided to give it a try as I was trying to save my buyer the expense of a good working stator and the extra work of removing the entire primary winding. I cleaned the rubber stopper and the area around it with a degreaser and rubbing alcohol. I stretched the rubber a bit and only the layer around the rubber put the connector back on, as well as the layer around the outside of the connector. Let it dry and check the adhesion, everything is ok. I rode the bike and there was no more leak. This product worked as advertised and saved my customer additional parts and labor costs.
