My goal was to use my phone with this monitor in portrait/portrait mode. When the monitor is rotated vertically, it goes into a very low resolution mode. The phone picture is compressed and unusable. I've used other monitors that display well in portrait mode, but not this one. Another problem with this monitor is the stand. It blocks the USB and HDMI ports when closed, preventing you from using the monitor on the stand. If you want to use the built-in stand vertically, the display is almost entirely vertical and you can't tilt it for the best viewing angle.
