Please note that the product received will be slightly different from the picture as it now has a large Emerson logo. I'd rather not have it as it's listed. The switch is exactly upgradeable to a standard two-position "rocker" switch. To connect to the house installation, the device is sealed with a stranded wire that comes out from behind. Note that a black AC wire is required to the switch, and neutral, fan power, and lighting wires are required between the junction box and the fan back box. Installation is easy (possibly with instructions). There were no performance issues on first use.
